Bios: Personal Trainers Portland Oregon

Hello Portland! My name is Kisar Dhillon and I am the owner of The Art of Personal Training in Portland, Oregon. I believe that everyone, those healthy and those who have some work to do, can lead a healthy and fun lifestyle. I started this private, boutique personal training studio because I wanted to give the people of Portland a professional experience where they get top notch customer service, amazing personal trainers and excellent results. Being in the health and fitness industry for almost 18 years has allowed me to experience on a first hand basis what a personal training client really wants, and my goal is to deliver that to each and every one of our clients. As the owner, I make it a point to be a potential client’s first point of contact, and will also help conduct their initial consultation when they come to The Art of Personal Training.

I carefully selected and hired the two personal trainers who work for my business because I wanted to mentor, train and mold both Matt and Jessica into the personal trainers that will make the client experience not only great, but amazing. I received my BS degree in Kinesiology and have my MBA, which helped me successfully run an in-home personal training business for ten years. I know what it takes to be a successful personal trainer, and the knowledge and customer service skills that I learned are what I have instilled in both Matt and Jessica.

Jessica Kelly

My name is Jessica Kelly, and I train at The Art of Personal Training with Kisar Dhillon. Being fit and healthy has always been something I have been devoted to. And now, getting the chance to help others reach that goal is an incredibly rewarding experience. I’ve been a lifelong runner, running cross country and track in high school and completing the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon in 2005, the Banco Poplar Chicago Half Marathon in 2008, the Magellan Spring half marathon in 2011, and Run for the Roses Half Marathon in 2012. I became a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. It is here and through my experiences that I learned that while running and other cardiovascular activities are vital to being a lean, mean, fighting machine, adding strength and resistance training into the mix provides you with benefits that stay with you even after your workout is complete.

Dedication and hard work pay off, and deciding to start a training program is the first step toward reaping the rewards. I know how great it feels to achieve your goals, and I will help you stay committed to your goals by providing you with positive encouragement, designing workouts that are right for you, and keeping your workouts versatile so you will never complete the same workout twice.   • Private Personal Training: $55/hour (Minimum 2 x's Per Week)

    This is private personal training with Jessica or Matt. We will give you 110% of our personal attention on getting you to achieve your fitness & health goals. We will design a program that is individually catered to your ability, pre-existing conditions (if any) and a realistic time-line that can be achieved and attained.
    *Training with Kisar Dhillon: Upon request and availability only!


  • Semi-Private Training (2 people $45/person) - $90/hour

    The benefits of this program are cost reduction per session, have a workout buddy, accountability increases, and there is more energy to each workout. This type of training is popular among spouses, significant others and colleagues who want to stay in shape or work towards a common goal together. Also, you will get my 110% attention to reaching your goals!


  • Small Group Training (3 to 5 people) - $35/person - NONE AVAILABLE!

    Small group training is very effective: increases motivation, accountability and brings in a high level of energy. The other benefit is that it is affordable. Each program is individually designed, implemented and monitored when we are doing the activities. Also, you will also get 110% of my attention when we are together!


  • Program Design - $205

    This includes one scheduled private personal training session and a program design that will be catered to you and emailed in an MS Excel or Word document. During the private personal training session, you and the trainer will go over the workout in detail so you know how to do it all on your own.
