Bio Kisar Dhillon: Personal Trainer Portland Oregon
Hello Portland! My name is Kisar Dhillon and I am a Portland Oregon personal trainer. I believe that everyone, those healthy and those who have some work to do, can lead a healthy and fun lifestyle.I grew up a skinny kid and in school, wanted to get “bigger”. I was a gym rat, but quickly learned there is much more to it than just lifting weights. I pursued studies in a degree that would allow me to focus on fitness, as I have a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at El Paso and also pursued post-graduate studies there.
However, my LIFE is also based on health, fitness and exercise. Being in the health & fitness industry for almost two decades has allowed me to train with individuals of all shapes, sizes, ages and personalities. When looking at my career I would have to say the three things that have allowed me to succeed in this challenging industry and that is the ability to: alter exercise fitness programs for each individual, adapt to an array of personality types and just listening. I am a firm believer of doing what it takes to make it happen and that requires constantly thinking outside of the box in order to make my clients succeed with their goals. I strongly believe a healthy lifestyle is possible when you combine fitness, nutrition, exercise programming and accountability. I am looking forward to offering my professional personal training services to Portland, Oregon!
Personal Training Client Testimonials

“You are convenient, patient, understanding, reasonable, personable, funny, prompt, and very serious about our results. You never give up on us. The fitness program you provide is personalized and well thought out. It is tailor made for our age, weight, and the goals we wish to achieve. You know how to push without pushing too far. Having some training in psychology might help too; most people like to talk to their trainer like they do their therapist, bartender, nail technician, or hair stylist!”
-Susan

“I Initially, when I started with Kisar, he was very interested in what I wanted. He wanted to know what I was all about – what I wanted from my workouts and how he could help me reach my specific goals. [He] appears genuinely interested in new clients. He enjoys meeting new people and it shows. Hard to describe, but he gets to know his clients very well. Your trainer becomes your therapist.
The in-home training versus. going to a gym is all about time. I think most people are crazy busy and the benefit of not having to drive half an hour back and forth to the gym is huge. Also, a lot people, especially women, don’t want to have to worry about their appearance.”
-Jodi

“You are knowledgeable and can break things down to a level that I can relate to. You are organized and timely, which I appreciate. You are serious about training, which makes me more serious about it as well…you don’t put on any pretenses. I train with you because I respect you for your knowledge, honesty, integrity, and the bonus that you are genuine, as well as being a task master. I saw results because you helped to keep me motivated. This all translates to [the strength of] your character. That is not something that another person can duplicate.”
-Brian

“You manage to train me even though my schedule is crazy. You make me workout harder than if I do it on my own. You change the routine all the time so I don’t get bored.
You’re fun and I can beat you up! Thanks for putting up with me!”
-Lo

“I chose you because you were easy to talk to and you embodied the ideas of fitness…and… it was your hot body! I think you provide excellent customer service. You are on time. You are conscientious regarding a person’s physical capabilities, and I like your stories!
The gym was not the best place to be trained. I found it distracting and the time allotted for one-on-one training was approximately 35 minutes. The environment was very crowded, equipment was being used and I found myself trying to adjust my schedule around my trainer’s.”
-Randy

“Thank you Kisar. Your class was insightful and I look forward to having you speak at the Pasadena Learning Center.
I am working on the specifics with Jayne and will contact you as soon as I have all the details. Thanks again!
BTW: Thanks to the class, I was motivated to start jump roping. Something I’ve been wanting to start for a long time. YIKES! I am SUPER SORE. My calves are killing me but I feel good about starting the new regimen. I have been stretching and will go into the Jacuzzi today to help with the soreness.”
