If you are stuck with the gains in your bench press, you may need approach it in a different way. If you are just doing flat bench, then you need to start replicating the same motion but with dumbbells, push-ups and various forms of explosive medicine ball throws. By utilizing different pushing methods, you will create different neurological patterns that your muscles can get help from when you need to find that explosive power in getting that extra rep or increasing your resistance. Give your body some different routines & rest periods, you will be surprised what it will do for you.
