Portland Personal Trainer: Adding a Whole Body Fitness Routine to your Current Program!

January 15. 2012, under Portland Fitness with No Comments

Doing a whole body fitness routine is something that you can incorporate into your exercise program to not only shock the entire body, but it is a great way to burn a lot of calories. This in an excellent way to incorporate functional body movements into your exercise routine. For example, you can replicate picking up an object and placing it above in a cupboard or shelf. This is a movement that we can replicate in the gym with a medicine ball, kettle bell or using a Bosu balancer for stability training. In addition, doing full body compound movements involves the entire kinetic chain, which will involve the feet stabilizers, the legs, upper body and your kinesthetic awareness. If you would like to learn more about functional training or incorporating a whole body fitness routine in your current program, ask a professional trainer at The Green Microgym in Sellwood.
